But so does Refuge.

Billie Piper has lent her voice to survivors of domestic abuse in our powerful new film. 1 in 4 women will experience abuse in their lifetime. Refuge supports thousands of these women and their children who turn to us when they’re trying to escape their abuser.  

Every day, we show up for women by providing a range of life-saving services to help them escape abuse. This might be through a confidential call with one of our specialist Helpline advisors, offering a safe night in one of our refuges, or providing expert legal and emotional support through our community outreach services.  

Donate today to help us be there for every woman and child who needs us. By giving once, or monthly, you too will be showing up for women who are experiencing abuse.

The average donation is £10.24

£5 a month could help keep our Helpline running throughout the year so whenever a woman calls us fearing for her life, we can be there to support her.

£10 a month could buy essentials for children arriving in our refuges, including blankets, pyjamas and toiletries, to replace what they had to leave behind.

£15 a month could help keep our refuges running all year round for women and their children to rebuild their lives in safety.

The average donation is £22.51

£18 could cover the cost for one of our expert team to respond to a contact from a woman fleeing abuse, via our Helpline, online chat or BSL services. 

£25 could go towards buying food supplies, toiletries and cleaning products to help a family stay safe and healthy after arriving in a refuge with nothing. 

£52 could pay for one safe night in a refuge for a woman and her children escaping an abuser, to give them their first safe night’s sleep in years.
